Your Own Website - Need Not Be A Far Off Dream

Hi I'm Martin Woolnough and, somewhat late in life (middle age anyway), have found that I can both build a website and enjoy the process. Yes it is demanding but then what is not these days?

I came across SBI! about eight months ago now and started building my first website www.self-esteem-enhances-life.com in July 2008. Why would I want to do that, you may ask? Well it comes down to pen and paper. I had enjoyed writing for many a year and wanted to expand my horizons. I had got the writing bug and a website seemed a terrific vehicle to help create a presence and exhibit my work - and help a few othe people along the way (the real aim).

Though I had worked with IT in my job most of my working life I was no web designer or webmaster. I had heard of html (programming language) but was put off learning about it - remember that I just wanted to write.

So I looked around for someone or a company to help me. I had used the 'net for some years and so I (thought I) knew a thing or two. But naive was my middle name and I really needed some help but did not know which way to turn.

And then, by providence and life's good graces - that is my belief, SBI! appeared one afternoon on my monitor in the form of Make Your Knowledge Sell - an excellent and free downloadable pdf packed with practical, sensible, instructive, inspiring information - which really struck a chord with me.

Within a few days I had signed up. And within a couple of months - though you can do it quicker - my first site about self esteem was up and walking - if not running.

And now I am expanding my adventure with this my second site ( and a third www.guide-to-managing-change.com has hopped off the drawboard at the same time - but that is another story or part of this adventure ). I know that with passion and effort, with some commitment and dedication then YOU can have your own website - whatever your subject, whatever your background, whatever the amount of time you have, whatever . . .
