A Life Of Deception Is Not Worth The Paper It Is Written On

How can a life of deception be good for you?

Not only do you confuse and try to trick others, but you may easily end up snaring and cheating yourself.

Being hypocritical is a low form of deceit. Saying one thing and meaning another, or worse saying one thing and doing the opposite - hardly likely to endear you to others, even those close to you.

To a point we all look out for number one - who else will after all - but to the extend of using cunning and duplicity is taking this too far. Doing things plainly to annoy or discomfort, or worse harm, other people is hard to justify.

And the alternatives - or the alternative

  • be honest and above board
  • be open and easy to read
  • present yourself to others - do not try to hide behind this mask or other front
  • be ready to give of yourself - do not wait to be asked

And then

  • we can remove ourselves from the cycle of deceit
  • we can move away from insincerity
  • we can be simple and straightforward
  • we can be open and giving

And give ourselves the chance to

  • help another person
  • move a task along
  • be there for another person

and help ourselves at the same time.

For we really want to be one person. You want to be yourself

You have no wish to hide yourself away.

You have no desire to shut other people out.

You want to contribute and belong.

You wish to give and share of your own time and efforts and abilities.

And with an open heart you can.

You may surprise yourself with what you can do - when you put your mind to it.

But try to remain surprised.

And remember that you are worth the effort.
