Life Grants Insight To Those Who Look And See And Understand
Give me an example of insight? My, that is difficult you say. I don't get many of those. Or if I do I only notice much later. Let's look at it another way. We are all perceptive. We see things and observe things. And we get an understanding beyond the seeing or the observing. What is that? Our inner awareness caught in the act. Insight in action. And it is not as if we turn it off is it? And could we anyway? Little things happen quietly each day. Often we can be lost in the moment and they pass us by. We may be aware that something went by but what was it? Did it have any meaning? Oh, I'll get it next time round. Life has this habit of giving us many chances. It seems to know that our focus is preoccupied. That we are occupied with many things. We are involved. We find life very involving. We sometimes wish it were not so, but it is nonetheless. But is that because we make it so. We jump in with all our efforts and our attention and our abilities. Thinking that this is where life is really at. If we do this or do that, we will succeed. This is what life is for, to do more. To achieve more. To be seen to accomplish more. Then we will be seen to be good. How good we will be. Others will praise us. We will be the center of attention. And we will enjoy that (fleeting) moment. And crave the next. But is that what life is really all about? This clamor for success. Momentary fame. In the spotlight. Wealth and rewards. And then as we get older we become less capable. All of a sudden life is more difficult. Things we could easily do previously now take our effort, hard effort to achieve. Insight. And we look for the smaller things in life. We are happier with the minutiae of life. When before we expected so much. Now we are happy with far less. We gain a different knowledge of ourselves. But it need not take this evolution to allow us to see a change in life. That life can be different for us. And we can feel happy and at one with our life.
