Indecision Can Stop You - Remove Hesitation And Doubt To Move On

Indecision is the curse of many an enterprise. It is the red light (stop sign) for many an adventure. 'Oh, I don't know what to do', is the cry. Decision making can cease. Hesitation squanders many an opportunity. Uncertainty clouds many a decision. Doubt gets in the way of you making progress.

Be more decisive and cast your uncertainties away. Be more determined in the face of doubts. Do not let hesitation creep up on you unawares. Making decisions can become one of your strengths. Trust and respect yourself and you can overcome and move on with your life.

Why, oh why?

Where does this hesitation stem from? Why do we doubt ourselves and hesitate? What makes us want to put off the decision (or decisions) until a later and apparently a better time?

Why does uncertainty creep in? Everything was going along swimmingly and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, we stop. We start doubting ourselves or the outcome? Why do our perceptions get so off-key? We start questioning what we are doing. We begin to question our actions. We begin to question our attitudes to making decisions.

Will we be able to do this? Will we be able to handle this? What will people think? What will my boss think? What will my friends think? What will my partner think? What will be all the consequences?

There is no more miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision. William James

Procrastination is the thief of time. Edward Young

What is happening to me?

Indecision takes on many forms. Some more easily recognizable than others. We all hesitate from time to time, and particularly with new ventures or in new activities. But to have creeping uncertainties about natural and obvious events we realize that things may get out of hand.

Understanding the actions, or lack of them and the reasons involved, will go a long way to finding the right thing to do and then doing it - should that be the situation we find ourselves in.

Though we may look to the heavens and seek guidance, the help is often close at hand and available to us. Momentary doubt can affect us all but we can learn to understand it for what it is - only a momentary or passing thing - and find the strength within us to rise above it and move on with our lives.

You won't become a saint through other people's sins. Anton Chekhov

Many complain of their memory, few of their judgment. Benjamin Franklin
