Heroes Are Made With The Support And Respect Of Others - And A Cause Worth Fighting For

Do you have any heroes? What is an idol after all?

Someone who does wonderful, selfless, courageous acts?

Someone who is a film star or politician?

Someone who is our local sports star?

Someone who is a writer or publisher?

Someone who is an architect or engineer?

Someone who is famous in history?

Someone who is a leader today?

Someone who is good at this or that?

Or our best friend or loved one?

Or someone who goes about their life helping people, not seeking the publicity or the kudos that some people crave?

Or someone who contributes a lot? Who shares their life. Who is an inspiration for many people.

Or someone who just helps one other person and has a normal life.

Perhaps we can all be champions in our own way. We have our own victories and defeats, successes and failures. But we pull through.

We all have our obstacles and hurdles in life. At times they seem huge and impossible, other times we can be glad that is out lot when we see a fellow human 'traveler' who seems far worse off than us.

The bottom line perhaps is respect for self and our attitude. How we tackle our life. How we live our life.

Someone can seem to be a hero and achieve or touch very little, or just go about their life and touch many, many other people by their manner, their common touch, their love for life, their love for humanity.

Become the person you can be and you will be a champion to yourself. And perhaps that is what counts most.
