Fear Of Failure Can Stop You - But Only If You Let It

Fear of failure.

This holds many people back.

If I try but come up short what will people think?

If I get to the winning post but find that last step just one too far, too onerous - everyone will (get to) know.

First, what does it really matter anyway? Everyone has their lives to live, so they have very little time on their hands to focus on our efforts, or lack of them.

Second, the fear itself is the biggest obstacle. Remember you have tried, tried and succeeded at things - both big and small - many, many times in your life.

Third, what does this really mean to you and what are you willing to give up to succeed? Little is gained by not giving up something (time or effort) or sacrifice something (time, other activities).

Fourth, you only see or hear of other people's fame but all famous actors (male and female), business people, scientists, etc have failed far more than they have succeeded.

As Thomas Edison said, 'I have just found one thousand ways it did not work'.

Learn from that.

Keep going. Do not quit.
