To establish yourself in life is so important.

Your credentials. The way you want to live your life.

The direction. The path.

Create a secure basis for your life.

Have a value system that is productive and satisfying.

Organize your life and demonstrate to yourself that you can hack it.

Be your own person. Give and contribute but reap the rewards of your efforts and hard work.

Find your life within and take stock on a regular basis. Realize just how fortunate you are. And be grateful for all that life has given you.

Look after yourself but offer support and assistance to those in need.

To tackle life head on. To embrace change. To enjoy the challenges that life has to offer.

But at times we can question ourselves.

At times we need to revalidate, to verify what we are doing. At times we can question and wonder about life itself.

We can wonder about our place in this world and what we are doing and how we can establish ourselves. We can think about what is really happening in our life.

How we are living and making our mark. What we are involved in. What direction our life is going in. At times like these words can be very powerful - healing, soothing, comforting, relaxing . . .

As we read we can let the words gently flow over us. We can let the words quietly be spoken to us in there own sweet way.

We can let ourselves open to the thoughts and their meanings, the ideas and their origin, the phrases and the understandings that they have ready for us.

Leaving things to prove and situations to betray

By not giving of yourself in a wholesome way
Not securing your base and letting this day
Go by in a flash and not make your mark
Your moment in history and no bookmark

Or anything to show for your time on Mother Earth
Why are we here in this here berth
If not to make the most of our time
Learn, grow, develop, no need to mime

But be ourselves and establish our place
Confirm our willingness to receive life's grace
And do our level best with life to cooperate
Have faith in ourselves and trust life's fate

That this for us can be a special place
Demonstrate to all our talents and embrace
Life with its wonders and good virtue
Make decisions count but don't bite off more than you can chew

Lest you find yourself in need of help
And find that all you can do is yelp
That you wish things had turned out different
And finding yourself in a situation that does confront

You with challenges that need to be met
You try to organize your life and yet
There still seems to be things to prove
Though you thought you had life in a good grove

From which you could demonstrate your greater knowledge
Of life, the universe and you feel the privilege
Of being alive at this special time
And secure in yourself, that's not a crime

In fact the reverse would be true
If you did not the best make out of you
And your life in the here and now
You are comfortable, and with no fevered brow

Because life has its excitement and joy
Which you verify each day and its no ploy
But real and after the fact
Authenticated by your experience and all of that

Which leaves you with little to prove
Happy, content, satisfied and in your grove
Finding your rightful place and your contribution
Is real, wholesome and confirmation

That you are indeed making the best of your lot
Validation of life is real, no need to appear the big shot
Happy and comfortable in your own skin
Finding, experiencing the richness of life within.
