Character - Show Off To The World Who You Really Are
Our character is such an integral part of who we are, how we act, the attitude we display. To be seen as a person of such integrity may seem old fashioned but it is still accepted and respected by others. It shows others that we are a person who can be trusted. Who can be called upon to assist if the need arises. What is it? A mixture of - our personality
- our nature
- our temperament
- our individuality
- our traits
What can it show? - our qualities
- our disposition
- our attributes
- our good name
What can we show? - honor
- integrity
- resolution
- determination
- backbone
- strength of mind
Let us be of good character and use all of our talents and abilities wisely. However, at times we can question ourselves. We think about how we are and what is really happening in our life. What we are doing. What we are involved in. What direction our life is going in. At times like these words can be very powerful - healing, soothing, comforting, relaxing . . . The power of words . . . As we read we can let the words gently flow over us. We can let the words quietly be spoken to us in there own sweet way. We can let ourselves open to the thoughts and their meanings, the ideas and their origin, the phrases and the understandings that they have ready for us. Ready for us to assimilate and take on board. If we let them filter through and allow the words their power to move and rejuvenate. If we let ourselves be uplifted and filled with their sometimes hidden insights. Let them gently and slowly impact on our lives as we read - and in the future when we recall their meaning for us. I hope this page will do this and more. I hope this example will help to express life in an insightful, penetrating but easy to read manner. And help us to question the lives we lead and the manner in which we live them. Character is what makes us who we really are it can surprise us at times as we sit and stare at what we are capable of and what we can do in this life for others and at the same time for you For character is a bit more than mere personality though that is something to cherish and not to envy because we want the best this life has to offer we need to renew our efforts and to better Ourselves in every which way we can in order to be ourselves, we need not be Superman though he had his virtues and values for all to admire we would do well to emulate those good points if not his attire And find that being ourselves offers much strength and hope it can enable, motivate and help us to cope with all that life has to throw at us in its own way to encourage us to improve, learn, develop and help us to stay True to ourselves in each and every way to find within the strength and purpose by which we can sway our life and the life around us in a positive direction and not make life for us a lottery or an auction By which we think our strength of personality will do when we may find that we need be careful if only we knew what was just around the next corner or our experience we would take extra care of things with a view to balance Our efforts in life with our nature at heart our disposition and temperament would make a good start of being attributes that support our reputation of honor, integrity and principle does beckon To us through all that we see each and every day we want to do the right thing and thereby repay any debt we have to the life that we have within by being comfortable and happy in our own skin For our character is often seen by us less clear than by another who see through our tricks and games and may think we are an actor rather than a real player in this life in which we all try so hard to put on a good front when we should really be on our guard And try to be true to ourselves throughout all things and not so hard to try to curtail our feelings of being an individual of honesty and principle rather than being caught out and have to stand and marvel At what others manage with ease and good grace they don't seem to have our scruples and not a trace of deceit and guile we would like to leave behind the absence of which would leave us more inclined To honor life by living true to our character not allowing our nature through would be a real blunder that we should best avoid if we are to do our best and realize in this our life, we are truly blessed. All best, Martin
