Chance - Make The Most Of Your Opportunities In Life
Can we really afford to leave our life in the hands of chance? Do we not need to take the lead in our own affairs? Possibilities may be a part of most games, but this extends to life also. How we deal with them is our own affair, but also impacts on how we handle life, how we feel about life. Whether we feel we are lucky in life. Whether we feel life is on our side, or that we have been dealt with a poor deck of cards - we have to get on with it. There may be time outs in sports but not so much in life. And unlike a good novel, where we can be sneaky and see how the ending turns out, in life we have to take a chance based upon our best instincts, evaluation, feelings, whatever . . . What are the options here? - an opportunity we should look at or pursue?
- an opening well worth the effort to assess and evaluate?
- a gamble that may turn out well or . . . ?
- a mere coincidence that has meaning or no meaning at all?
- a happening of misfortune that we might best do well to leave alone?
among other alternatives that life may like to throw our way. In fact, is everything a chance. If we don't know the outcome beforehand. Maybe. Maybe not. (This is not an exam paper where the word 'discuss' appears and leaves the student to get on with it. Still an idle thought and here does no harm, and can spark off a bright idea, an invention, a different and new direction . . . ) Whatever, at times we can question ourselves and how we take to the choices in life. What we are doing. What we are involved in. What direction our life is going in. At times like these words can be very powerful - healing, soothing, comforting, relaxing . . . The power of words . . . As we read we can let the words gently flow over us. At times words can be very powerful - healing, soothing, comforting, relaxing . . . I hope this chance page will do this and more. I hope this example will help to express life in an insightful, penetrating but easy to read manner. And help us to question the lives we lead and the manner in which we live them. Do we want to decide our life just by chance jump in, take it forward and try to enhance our experience and satisfaction with the life we have in our grasp this is our opportunity to grow and develop and we should clasp It with both hands, our head and our heart it is no accident and life tries to impart a message of love and wisdom each and every day it just depends on our perceptions, not on what we have to say What we decide in life is firmly in our hands openings and possibilities for free and no hazards should get in the way of us feeling pleasure in the things we do and the people we treasure How we go about things is our way to choose we can improve our prospects if we don't abuse our trust in life and ourselves at the same time as we go about our affairs and that is no crime But we must realize that with free will comes responsibility the odds are very good but don't live by any probability that all that you touch will turn into gold anyway what would life be if you could afford everything that is sold For chance is one thing but we must make the most of things some are accidental, and unforeseen happenings but if we are alert we will raise our antennae and be ready for anything though that can be quite eerie If we don't have a level head in our every action ride good fortune and fate, but now life is not random for (s)he who does their best in what they do will have every chance of making a real breakthrough To a life that they might never have imagined closer to home than they might have reasoned for much good in life is to be found within not to search nor look, now that is a real sin Against our life, just to have looked at the bright lights not to have questioned further nor seen of the real sights nor experienced more than what is on terrestrial tv how that could really satisfy us really defeats me Though at times I have been sucked into that cathode ray tube just like my neighbour just seeing soap, film, or perhaps playing with Rubik's cube and wondering why the innocence of life has passed me by when all I have wanted is to have bacon and eggs in a fry Up, and up is perhaps where I should look but deeper within I feel now because I mistook the intentions of life were to be found in outward success whereas joy, satisfaction, contentment, within we can access If we hold our hand up high and humbly ask of life is there more and is this my real task to life and this world the right questions will help to unmask the true nature of life, what we can experience - all we have to do is ask. All best, Martin
