Certainty Comes At A Price - Are You Willing To Pay It?
Does life have a certainty about it? Does life have a direction or a path? Is it a time of discovery? A time to uncover the beauty and joy to be found with a human being. Within us. Is there not much we can see and feel, sense and experience, today and every day Sure, we can get lost in what we have to do. The work and the chores. Insure the car, buy food. Repair this, do that. And there seems no time for us. Pay taxes, fill out this form. Avoid those colleagues having an argument. Must go to that meeting. Must read that paper. No time for lunch today - must get 'y' done. What seems certain are the responsibilities that we have or that seem to have been placed upon our shoulders. And did we not place them there? Some we cannot and should not get out of. Others we would do well to give time to. Yet others we have taken on board when we should have avoided them. And through all of this mayhem and ideas, ventures and procedures, meetings and tasks, projects and needs, life goes quietly on. Until it ceases for each of us, life will go on. Quietly in the background. Not imposing. Not declaring itself too openly. But there nonetheless. For us to have. For us to savor - on those brief moments when we give it the chance. Or is it give ourselves the chance to look up and see it. Feel it within. Know there is more to life than all the things that we have to do. All the things that are expected of us. Certainty. Life is there. Tick, tock. The march of time. It goes on. Waiting for our attention. Waiting for our focus to change. To go within. To come home. To visit another world that can be ours also.
