Being Critical May Just Turn Others Off Our Good Suggestions
Being critical is right up some people's street. They just seem to excel at it, don't they? Can it be good? Is it a good way to be? - not accepting anything but the best
- avoiding anything we are just a little bit uncertain about
- perhaps going out of our way to get what we want
But - does it put too much stress upon us?
- are we always expecting too much?
- are we setting the bar too high?
And the affects on our relationships and interactions with others - if we are too particular
- if we are too demanding
- if we are too arrogant
- if we are too bossy
- if we are too self centered
people may well avoid us. What do we need to do - be respectful
- be accepting of different points of view
- start believing there may be more than one way (our way) of doing things
- start seeing that other people on the whole are trying to do their best
And - be more supportive not deriding
- be more helpful not questioning
- be more reassuring not belittling
And try to make life a little bit better for us all. - being penetrating can see through the confusion
- being discriminating means we can more often choose the right approaches
- being discerning and perceptive will help us decide the right course
And we can make our attribute really work for us and others.
