To All Be Flexible Would Demand Effort And Resolve - But Think Of The Gains

We can all be flexible I hear you say.

Some always bend over backwards to help others. While this is great in one sense, they often have to be very much aware that they cannot help everyone. And should not even try. And know that there are other people better placed to deal with those latter situations anyway.

How should we be

  • pliable - we are not pieces of plasticine that can be moulded into different things. Our pliability only goes so far
  • yielding - hard to maintain and always feel good about it
  • accommodating - and help ourselves and others at the same time
  • amenable - and be friendly and approachable
  • variable - in our approach but still have a good and friendly manner
  • adaptable - and help make the most of the situations we meet in life
  • responsive - to the needs of both situation and other people
  • open - to new ideas, to new ways of doing things

to have a spring in one's step.

To have life on our side - and being aware of that. Then we can relax and take life in our stride.

Not look for difficulties where none exist. Not to think all the hurdles are there to trip us up.

To see the good in situations and see them through. Because you will look for the simple and straightforward rather than the complex and needy.

You nature makes you accommodating rather than awkward. Easy going rather than hard to get on with.

You like to please but will not be downtrodden.

You want to see a good job done but not at the expense of those concerned, and that includes yourself.

You are your own person.
