Action Is The Secret To Achievement - But Do Some Planning, Too!

Action is a key element in life. A challenge but a joy at the same time. A hurdle at times but also a source of satisfaction, too.

Where would we be without the ability to do things? What would life be like if we just sat and experienced and not participated?

We are born to act. We are born to tackle life. We are born to be able to exert ourselves. We are alive to accomplish.

We have life and much of life is about what we do and how we react to situations and circumstance. Our attitude is so important and helps to drive our life. A poor work ethic is such a disadvantage. And when I say work I mean that in the loosest of ways. Work, effort, action, movements, exercise, feats, achievement, accomplishment, success, failure . . .

We all have abilities. We all have strengths. We all have talents. Life gives us the opportunities to give, to make effort, to achieve, to perform. And we can relish the challenges and the hurdles that arise in each effort and enterprise.

Are we willing to put in the work to get to our goal? We need to make certain the effort will be worth it.

Sure there are difficulties. There are obstacles. There are defeats and disappointments. But how can we really appreciate the successes if we always achieved, and without effort and with ease? But would be the good of that?

But we need not and indeed should not focus on those aspects. We can do but a downward turn or spiral killed off many an enterprise, and even before it began. We are above that. We want to focus on the good, on the effort, on the contribution.

We want to move on. We want to succeed. We want to put the effort in. We are happy to do so.

But one thing we do need to know and be happy about, is working towards good, honorable and wholesome objectives. Working towards the wrong or energy depleting objectives never did anyone any favors.

No, we want to ensure we are working in the right direction. We are undertaking good, confidence building enterprises.

And the effort we are putting in is of our best. It has the qualities of being concerted and dedicated. Of being determined to reach our next goal or target. Of keeping going until the flag appears and is waved after we cross the line.

Half-hearted efforts lead to half baked results - most of the time. You may be lucky but don't base your efforts on chance. Stack the odds in your favor by being well principled and value and respect the efforts you make.

Accept yourself. Be aware of your strengths and deficits. Work on them and they will improve. Many a weakness became a strength with acceptance and putting in the effort to notch it up a bit.

Know your qualities and use them. Contribute do not just take. Give do not just receive. Encourage do not always follow. Support do not always seek the quiet life.

Give of your best and you will be rewarded. Life has that way. It may be a surprise but you will know.

All action is putting one foot in front of the other. Making those first hesitant steps, then forging ahead more confidently.

Get the job done - the only failure is giving up. Just don't quit and you will succeed.

One last thought - is the prize worthy of us, does the prize excite us to act, will it draw the best out of us?

These are essential elements of any enterprise, big or small. Ensure that X factor is present and with your effort and focus just see what you can achieve.
