Hello there, I'm Martin Woolnough and this is my second website. This is my 'About Me' page for this site. I have long worked in a health background in England but, nearing retirement - in years - I am now diversifying into what I have always wanted to do. And what is that - be a writer.
I have long enjoyed writing, be it at work or at play. At play this has included poetry as well as jottings here and there about life and how I feel about life and my experiences. Eighteen months or so ago, following on from an attempt at full scale writing some ten years or so ago, I started writing again in earnest. Over six months or so I wrote thoughts, feelings, experiences, observations, insights - all written in handy, pocket-sized notebooks, about twenty-six of them. The aim of my writings has always been to help other people. For I believe if we can share the benefits we have in life, the things we have learned, the things we have seen, we can help one another along in life. Make our passage that much easier and more rewarding at the same time. This culminated in my wanting to express myself on a greater and more meaningful and worthwhile scale. And from this my first website www.self-esteem-enhances-life.com evolved. As will most (?all) evolutions what has blossomed was not seen in my original plans for a website. It has grown, I believe, in a meaningful way and I still get excited when I add another webpage to that site - feeling that in a small way I am able to help a few people - to help clarify a few things for them in their own life. And, hopefully, help them move along a little and enjoy life more and get a little more out of life. This, as I say my second website www.successful-decision-making.com, website came out of an idea from my first. And this was the fact that I included a decision making step while writing about goal setting. While there is an enormous amount of material, it seems, on goal setting, decision making is an interesting and very important part of everyday life that does not seem to be covered with the same intensity and volume of material - hence this website. I hope on these pages to cover decision making in a novel and thought provoking way. Looking at the basics and the fundamentals. And attempting to pull all of these areas and slants together into a cohesive whole. Your comments, suggestions and interest will determine the success of my project. May I just wish that you find something of interest and meaning within these pages and over time come back and have another look round and glean a little more.
